Mr John Borg studied at St Aloysius’ College and the University of Malta, graduating B.A. (Hons) in Public Administration. He joined the Public Service in 1986, as a Principal Officer within the Trade Department.
In 2000 he assumed the duties of Assistant Director (Administration) in the Consumer & Competition Division and in 2006 he was appointed Director (People Management & Support Services) within the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure.
Mr Borg was appointed Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Tourism in March 2013 and subsequently at the Ministry for Gozo, in April 2014.
He is married to Marisa nee Cassar and has three children – Josef, Stefan and Kristina.
